Week 35- I'm Leaving Maf-Town!

Wow I don't think this week could be anymore hectic! Last night president called me and maholti and to my utter surprise he said i am going to be a Zone leader in momaodli 1, and my comp will be training a guy from idaho in Maf-town! So right now both of our minds are exploding with unbelief!!! Very excited and not very excited to teach future zone conferences but hey gotta love the challenge in which i know the lord will help me grow! So this week we have had multiple things happening, we first off had the opportunity to do about 10 hours of service total, some of which we did service for one of our progressing investigator families (sis kenanao) and it was a great blessing because we were able to cultivate a great relationship much deeper that before, but by helping them make a garden! Was a blessing in disguise for us and them! We also had the honor to have President and Sister Willson come teaching with us on Thursday and we had some of the most powerful lessons I've e...

Week 34- Tsmio's Conversion

Hello from Maf-teezy! Wow this week was been excellent! We have had a lot of progress and have had a lot of progress with investigators this week! We also finally had a full week in the area and it was nice not have to travel much! This week I'm just going to do mostly pictures. But my Holy ghost moment for this week was with a newly found investigator named tsimo! He is the most intelligent and intellectual guy you've ever met in you life besides the fact he talks 1000 words a minute! He has met with over 20 missionaries in the past over the years and the majority of his family are members. But we sat down with him and for a solid 30 minutes he shared with us his dreams and ambitions in life which were very impressive by the way.. he came to church and loves the church a lot! But as we were talking to him in the lesson and at church he made it clear that he needed to gain the knowledge that joseph smith was a true prophet and once he gained this revelation he would contin...

Week 33- Everyone's Eyes Popped Out Of Their Heads

Hey everyone!! This week was super great, we have had yet again another great week of success. We have had a lot of progress with are investigators, we had a investigator named Olive finally get back from a trip home that confronted her grandparents about being baptized and they told she could not and if she did they would reject her as part of the family. But she said that she would and nothing could stop her. So now she is struggling to pay for college because no one is supporting her in her funds. Please pray for her! But we gave her a baptism date for March 13th and she couldn't help but be more than excited! She is so powerful, delights in the gospel and invites her Friends to church and to sit in on our lessons awesome. She will make it without a doubt! We Also had a investigator named same (samie in english) she lost a child a few weeks ago and we taught her the plan of salvation and she loved it. Me and my comp had a feeling we needed to check her one night and when we g...

Week 32- The Mojelas Got Baptized!

Image
Hey everyone!! This week has been incredible! Me and my comp worked are butts off and we are now reaping the rewards! We had so man blessings in so many various ways but it was evident that the lord was blessing us this week. This week we had about 8 hours of service and we help a member move and spaded someones yard(kinda like lawn mowing but African style) while we where blasting "the lion sleeps tonight song". But as we were working are phone kept going off and just wouldn't stop, we looked and we got like 8 referrals from head quarters! Wow its rare you even get one in a transfer! So that was a blessing and we haven't even had time to contact them yet. We also got a special assignment to travel 2 hours away and visit members in a isolated town called vryburg.(was freaking awesome because they actually had domino's pizza there!!) We got to contact some referrals and visit some powerful member's that are all by themselves but yet are strong as a family....

Week 31- Back in Maf-Town Baby!

Hey everyone! Hard to believe i am back in the blistering hot sun again with the tswanas! They are the best they love to smile and to talk real loud, so its great to feel at home once again! Wow what a great week it has been! We have had so much progress compared to last week! It has been great, we have been able to contact a lot of referrals the members have given us. Crazy to be thrown back into a place with so few investigators i guess we were pretty spoiled up in limpopo. But its great because you get to try different things. We had a battle plan with the branch for the year of how we are going to help our MASSIVE branch grow, we have over a hundred people a week so there is no excuse, just pray that fathers will start to pay their tithing! We met with a sister this week who is one of the nicest gogos I've ever met, she is struggling immensely because her son and daughter don't listen to her and her work situation is getting incredibly hard. She has to support her ...
