Week 1- Airports and Burning Buildings

Hello everyone!!!

Holy hannah!! That's all i can say right now. It literally feels like i got picked up by a space ship from the MTC and dropped off on Mars. That is the only way to explain how i feel right now!! It is truly a completely different world. But starting from the beginning at the MTC, it was amazing!! The spirit can only be continually felt in few places on this earth but the MTC is one of them. I was at first disappointed about getting transferred to Provo from Joberg, but now i see why i am here and have come to the conclusion that i have no freaking idea what is going to happen next and just do what ever the lord needs! I think that the typical person would of died at this point haha. But the MTC was great but our whole district was ready to move on and change the world! what a great district so many amazing Elders and Sisters in one place it was incredible. But after that i had my 23 hours of flying and that was just dandy (honestly it wasn't too bad.) But as me and my companion were walking through the Atlanta Airport, as EVERYONE was staring at us...i couldn't help to feel incredibly sad for everyone that didn't have the gospel in their lives.. all the faces of people that walked by and had no light in them. Ive been in a million different airports but this time i had the power and authority from god and that makes all the difference.
But to the real crazy part....Mofikeng!!!! It's like Egypt and Ghana combined. There is the city and the village and we cover the whole thing-- ME, Elder Lawson (AP) and Elder Autrey (AP) They are both 20 months in and they are the funniest bunch you could ever meet haha. This city has it all!! It's got a downtown, the slums, the cheese boys (rich people), living in shacks, gangsters, and you name it!! The city just had a taxi riot the other day and blew up a bunch of stuff and killed some people i think haha. Crazy story of the day---Elder Lawson wanted to get some coke before our 3 hour weekly planning session(which consists of both elders wrestling and smacking each other with 5 foot long forks) and we got the bottle and went outside of our flat (apartment) and turned the corner and the massive store next to our flat was completely burnt down, IT WAS HUGE and now there is nothing left. They said that someone blew it up and them robbed the store owner's house right after. And this all happened like 50 yards from us and we were dead asleep haha you know just the typical. Good thing everyone loves the missionaries!
The people here are incredible, I hope that god has saved the highest part of the celestial kingdom for them. They are all so happy and just simply amazing. You can literally walk up to ANYONE and talk to them for a good 20 mins. We have to do almost no tracking because EVERYTHING is based on referrals. Everyone speaks setswana and English i already am learning setswana and the people love it when a white boy speaks it haha. Everyone speaks so fast and in perfect tone its hard to understand their English. I am relying a lot on god right now. we have taught so many great amazing family in their shacks and it couldn't be better.
The lord has so much promised for these amazing people!!
The time is short and we have so much to do!
I love you all and think about you all every day and miss you more than you could think.
Love you all sooooooo much!!
Sisssssa this place is crazy!
Sope sope
