Week 9- A Week in Bots and a Wedding
ola ola ola!!
Hey everyone! Its great to hear from
you all just like always! This week has been quite insane! We were
litterally in botswana the whole week with the G-west elders! Man they are
great and we enjoyed our time together! While in gabs we went to a
convention where hundreds of churches and businesses were there showing
off their stuff, the church had a booth there and we had a bunch of
posters and jazz up so people could easily understand how our church
runs. But it was awesome because everyone walked up to us and it was
probably the easiest kind of contacting you could do on a mission! Lots of
bible bashing and lots of heated debates but it was well worth our
time! When i wasn't at the convention i was on exchanges with the zone
leader-elder Bassima who serves in the exact same stake from which he
was born and raised! The elders up in bots are powerful they sacrifice
so much and most of them go straight off to the field and don't even go
to the MTC!! They are willing to serve ANYWHERE including their own
home town. I have gained a great love for the elders working a country
above us! But otherwise we got to go in their area the whole week and
got to meet with some really powerful investigators who have a testimony
like ive never seen before! While being here my testimony has grown so
much not only from testifying it to others, but watching others
testimonies grow and develop! Its so powerful and makes me gleam with joy
when i see others finally put their old life away and drop everything
they have and follow christ!:)
This week when
we got back from Bots we went to Sis emilys wedding! It was so rad!!!
African wedding are simply something else, everyone is yelling and
laughing but best of all they are always singing! They all sing their
tribal songs together and it is truly the most beautiful thing you have
ever hear in your whole life.... Wow it was amazing and so much fun, all
the big mamas put on their traditional dresses and its super colorful.
We are super excited for them and it also means there is another priesthood holder so we are that much more closer to becoming a ward! So
excited for that day!:)
But as for our
progressing investigators it has been hard because we have been gone all
week, but we have a investigator that is named Kelsto and she is so
powerful she is so humble and keeps all the commitments we give her,
she even quit coffee this week and she literally drank more coffee than
water, super powerful. She should be baptised next month. Then we have
bro.davenport that just needs to stop smoking and then he can finally
put on the white cloths hes been working so hard for, Then the mojela
family is kinda in limbo right now because they are getting a lot of
rejection from the rest of their family but we are constantly working
and aiding them on their way! We have a bunch of new investigators now
and we are excited to have a normal week in our own area and to work
with all of them. Last week me and elder Hunt played some ball with all
the Umipo university basketball team, and guess what.. we freaking
schooled them all!!! It was great haha well this week has been nuts but
the love is always there for the work that we do, there truly is no
greater work i could possibly do in my life better than this and to add
to the fact that i love it makes it heaven on earth:)
LOVE YOU ALL!!!:)
