Week 13- New Areas and Misunderstood Identities
Hey everyone!
This week has been something else! I finished up training finally and had my first transfer! I am now in the limpopo, lenyenye area and man its is so different from Mafikeng!! The area is all tropical and is all huge rolling green hills and mountains! Its is pretty much as opposite of flat dry maf-town. Tee area is amazing and the people are all spaidee much more different from setswana's in all honestly they are not quite as happy and don't like to talk much! The people here believe we are Satan worshipers and when ever they see us they run away or they yell FIRE! FIRE! The area has a big church here called zcc's and the minster taught them to say that to cast the demons (us) away. haha so it is all pretty interesting here! My new comp Elder Stomps is from the Netherlands and he has about 2 months left and is ready to go! haha It is extremely different here and feels like i am starting my mission over! But anyways we had a baptism this sunday with one of our investigators named mpho! She was excited to be a official member. We are teaching a lot of teenagers right now and we have many that are progressing i forgot their names so ill include them next time. Besides the constant 100 degree weather the work is good! The first day it was so hot and humid i thought i was going to pass out! Its difficult sometimes but when ever we start teaching a lesson again i feel renewed in a sense and feel at peace and every second of it! It has been good so far but i am glad that i am done w/ training and can now apply everything i know and only continue to build upon that knowledge. Oh cool thing too is that Elder Williams my MTC comp is serving in the area right next door!! It was great to see him again and see all the growth he has acquired thus far! The people here understand very little english and if they do its pretty rough, but it was incredible to see that the spirit speaks every language! It was awesome to see peoples faces and countenances once the spirit touched them and them they understood more fully! We read in Alma 18 and 19 that the gospel can be preached in simple truths and can lead to the conversion of others similar to Ammon's experience with King lamoni and later his fathers conversion. The last couple days i have seen that simple truths and basing what they already know can grown exponentially. God loves you all and he has given each one of you everything you can possibly think let us all honor him in all are doings every moment of the day!
Love you all and always pray for you!
Love you all and always pray for you!
Sorry pics next week! ( they will blow your mind!)
