Week 14- Termites and Mpho's Baptism

Howizit!

Hey everyone, i hope everyone is well and enjoying good old Utah! Africa is lakaa as always and i am enjoying my new area a lot! It is a great place and there is a lot of work that is needed to be done here! There are a lot more members here but they are all less-active! We have about 60 people come to church and about roughly 400 less actives! Great ratio isn't it?! So here we can always count on having a busy day not just inviting people to follow Christ but to also strengthen there relationship or to help them find it again! Most people here are less active because they have no car and would have to walk at least a hour to church from the mountains. All but like 10 members walk to church pretty impressive! So we have a lot of investigators right now we have a lot of teenagers because most of the older people can hardly speak english, we have about 5 people on date for the 11th of October so its coming pretty close and i think the majority of them with follow through. Teaching lessons is awesome here, we always sit outside because inside there shacks its like 110 degrees (literally) but we always under a mango, or avocado tree, so if your hungry during a lesson you're set! Very green and tropical here. So this week i gave a talk about heritage day to a group of like 200 people about the culture of the church and then of course we had a feast! I don't think there is better food in the planet, some of what i found was termites (they but on top of their salad) (made me think of dad) cow stomach and everything else you could ever imagine, but was still amazing! This week we went to a funeral and that was something else, all the missionaries were pallbearers. Very powerful. Then we went to a wedding and had a great time! Of course food was there as well. Think i gained at least 10 pounds this week.(not counting last week) But This week Mpho was baptized and me and Elder Stomps and opaa confirmed the Holy Ghost. I am very happy for her and she will be a great strength this branch desperately needs.
Sometimes when we are walking to a lesson or offroading in are boki straight up a mountain and its blazing hot its difficult to keep positive but ALWAYS when we begin the lesson and begin to teach everything is better and the spirit really comforts me! I love the work i am doing here, there might be a lot of new challenges here in the new area but i am loving the work and giving everything i have to offer to the lord.  Let us all be steadfast and immovable mosiah 5;15 and not give into the worldly temptations! Love you all and i hope its not as hot there as it is here!
Enjoy the pics!
